Cannabis Doing Good is a platform, to create opportunities for cannabis and community to collaborate, to inspire new ways of people, planet and human engagement, and to showcase those companies that are doing good.

CDG Social #1

Last Wednesday, October 17, we launched our first Cannabis Doing Good initiative – CDG Social. It was more successful than we had dreamed, seeing over 130+ people through the door, with 60% cannabis industry and 40% community, nonprofit and advocacy groups. Mostly, we were able to support the GES Community Land Trust!

Attendees enjoyed tasty beer from the Zuni Street Brewing Co. while listening to an open mic hosted by Howling Moon Duo that featured members of Deliciosa. There was live artwork, mala bead bracelet making, and games on the outside patio. It was the perfect vibe for our guests to come together and discuss doing good in the future.

The Cannabis Doing Good Campaign

We plan to launch the next initiative of CDG at MJBiz in Las Vegas – our Cannabis Doing Good Campaign.This will ultimately be both a produced and user-generated video marketing campaign designed to highlight all the ways the cannabis sector is driving positive political, social and economic impact. We will be dismantling Drug War propaganda, one story, one video, at a time. This matters – because – the more positive stories we can tell, the more good we can do.

We are announcing this campaign at MJBiz by showcasing a 60-second video to be promoted on MJBiz TV, highlighted during a podcast recording on PodCast Row, and announced in the media room with a full screening of the film. This video will feature cannabis business owners, patients, doctors, nonprofit executives, and veterans – folks from all walks of life that are touched by the cannabis sector.
