Some may be scared to admit it, but cannabis plays a major role in modern marketing. A few of the most successful and innovative marketing platforms are cannabis companies, such as WeedMaps and Leafly. Cannabis is also known to add quality to marketing platforms in general.
I’ve been in marketing for 5 years now, and have been using cannabis the entire time. It sparks creativity, provides health benefits, and even changes my perspective on days that I may be down. One of the most important aspects of marketing is portraying a positive vibe through your efforts. If you’re not feeling inspirational or motivating, it’s going to be very difficult to motivate others, especially in digital form.
Cannabis and Creativity
Creativity is simply a brain operation that can be altered with the use of cannabis. The chemical compounds in cannabis that make you feel a particular way are called cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are already naturally produced in our brain. When we consume cannabinoids such as THC or CBD, they stop breaks in our neuron transmissions which amplify our thought processes and ideas.
Many associate the plant with creative hobbies and professions such as painting, music, and photography. Many don’t associate it with marketing, but boy are they wrong! Let’s just start with the following examples from my prior sentence, including:
- Painting is used heavily in the marketing world for content and branding. We are currently working with a painter for one of our new clients logo’s.
- Music is one of the most important aspects of video editing. It engages viewers and creates a vibe.
- Photography is used in marketing 24/7. We heavily use it with our social media to engage and grow our following. We also take pictures for clients for their social media and websites.
I think it’s safe to say, that cannabis can help generate the creative thought it takes to have a quality marketing platform. But, how else can cannabis help with marketing?
Cannabis and Health
A recent study that has come to light in the cannabis world proves that a daily dose of cannabis extract could reverse brain’s decline in old age. Now, cannabis infused products that will help overall brain function and health are being tested. This is huge in marketing because countless hours staring at computer and phone screens pay a toll on your vision, and ultimately your brain.
Additionally, hunching over your computer and phone all day are horrible for your back and joints. Marijuana alleviates pain, reduces inflammation, and promotes sleep, which may help relieve pain and discomfort for people with rheumatoid arthritis. CBD has proven to be one of the more revolutionary cannabinoids in this area because it has all of the benefits of the THC, but doesn’t get you high. Having these natural medicines in marketing are huge because it’s a constant battle to maintain physical health and not develop issues like back pain or arthritis.
