The Botanist, a leading multi-state operator, came to PufCreativ with a clear challenge. They needed to move beyond a restrictive iframe menu and transition to a digital experience built for greater visibility and organic search growth.
As a preferred Dutchie partner, our goal was to use the full capabilities of Dutchie Pro to create a seamless experience across all 11 locations. Serving as the central hub for technical strategy and creative execution, we managed a complex migration with precision while keeping the brand identity front and center throughout the project.
Services Utilized
Website Design & Development
To help The Botanist grow beyond the limitations of traditional menus, we began with a strategic discovery phase before any development work. We mapped their acquisition channels, analyzed customer behavior, and identified key search opportunities. This gave us a clear foundation to align the website architecture with their long-term customer acquisition strategy.
Instead of relying on generic templates, we led a fully custom design process. We created homepage and core flow mockups in Figma for both desktop and mobile, refining them through multiple design reviews and creative direction sessions. Throughout, we ensured the Dutchie Pro menu felt like a seamless, custom part of the site (not a third-party embed).
A major focus of this build was location persistence and retail UX optimization. We developed streamlined location selection tools and clear indicators, so customers always know which store they’re shopping from, especially when navigating across markets like Ohio and Massachusetts.
Through structured project management (from onboarding and QA testing to final launch) we turned a complex multi-state storefront into a frictionless experience.
Shortly after launch, the client shared feedback from their retail team: “The website launch was the best they’ve seen.”
Dispensary Loyalty
A website only works if it brings people back, so we updated the loyalty strategy to turn new traffic into long-term revenue. We designed and launched a full suite of custom-branded email and SMS flows, including a welcome series for new signups and points reminders to re-engage inactive shoppers.
We aimed to make communication feel personal and timely. We introduced gamified tools like an on-site spin wheel, which increased first-time customer opt-ins by 15–40%. This approach brings every new visitor into a structured engagement cycle right away—encouraging repeat visits and building long-term brand loyalty.
Content Creation
To create a more human digital experience and elevate the visuals beyond standard dispensary builds, we executed a custom lifestyle photoshoot in Columbus, Ohio. Our goal was to replace stiff corporate imagery with a visual story that reflects the real community behind the brand.
We delivered a curated library of professionally edited photos and integrated them directly into the new web design and Dutchie Pro menu pages. We also used these assets to power automated email and SMS campaigns. By highlighting the lifestyle and people behind the brand, we created an immediate emotional connection and gave the brand a distinct visual identity in a crowded market.
