Gotham NYC is a premium cannabis and lifestyle destination rooted in New York culture. In December 2024, the dispensary hired us with a clear mission: expand reach, boost visibility, and drive real growth across digital channels. We answered that by building a performance-driven strategy focused on achieving those goals.

We began by launching a two-part plan. First, we rolled out SEO as a monthly program to widen keyword reach, improve rankings, and strengthen local search presence. Second, we built a Google Ads account from scratch. Every element was customized—from keyword targeting to audience segmentation, conversion tracking, and ad timing—and optimized to reach active shoppers and generate real value.

SEO Momentum and Paid Search Results

From January to May, Gotham’s SEO performance gained clear momentum. Despite seasonal dips in winter search volume, January closed with over 41,000 sessions from organic search. By February, the brand was ranking on page one for key branded and local terms. In March, organic clicks increased by 15%, while impressions grew by 25%, signaling continued upward traction.

User engagement also showed strong improvement. April marked a 420 season peak, with 48,000 sessions and 30,000 new users. Impressions surpassed 380,000, and click-through rates increased. The momentum carried into May, with nearly 500,000 impressions and an average keyword position of 11. Continued growth in user sessions and a decrease in bounce rates confirmed the strength of these gains.

Paid search provided an additional boost in performance. Between March and July, Google Ads campaigns generated over 16,000 clicks and more than 600 conversions. Revenue climbed with a return on ad spend (ROAS) of 312%. Cost per click remained efficient at $1.35, while click-through rates held steady above 10%. April’s 420 holiday contributed to a performance spike, and in May, a custom Pride Month campaign extended reach and attracted new users.

With strong performance across both SEO and paid search, Gotham is not only experiencing growth but also building lasting digital value in one of the most competitive cannabis markets. Their digital footprint now reaches far beyond city limits, connecting with high-intent consumers across the state. By May 2025, the data told a clear story: with increased visibility and strong growth metrics, Gotham is positioned to scale with both purpose and confidence.
