In June 2024, Aura Cannabis Co. was preparing for a major milestone: the opening of their second dispensary in Massachusetts. But their existing website, auraofri.com, wasn’t built to scale. They needed a seamless domain migration that wouldn’t cost them the SEO traction they had already earned. That’s where we came in.

We launched a fully custom Dutchie Plus site and managed every aspect of the transition. To support both visibility and usability, we implemented our proprietary plugin, built dynamic product carousels, added a smart search bar, and created a customized menu experience. The site was designed from the ground up to be fast, clear, and built for discovery.
SEO & Backlinking
Once the new platform was live, the results started to take shape. Website sessions rose by 25% year over year, and daily organic clicks grew from 124 to more than 500 by the end of 2024. Location pages for both Central Falls and Fall River became top performers, while the Central Falls business profile alone brought in over 31,000 visits.
Behind the scenes, we were building out the foundation for long-term growth. We created over 35 high-quality backlinks with an average domain rating of 61.8, and we ran a comprehensive audit to clean up outdated or toxic links. The results were clear: by May 2025, Aura was ranking for 4,715 keywords, up from just over 1,000 the previous summer.
